Obstinate

The idea that I had for this piece was the concept of patriarchy and femininity. The uterus holds a big bearing on human life as well as the female body. It is believed that women only exist to bear children, hence the fetus is seen in the painting and is the only thing that matters to a woman's body are her sexual organs, such as the apple seen in the piece. This problematic perspective is often pushed by men which are represented by the bull behind the uterus to show the stubbornness of the male gender.
